South High Football Coaches Honored
Downers Grove South High Head Football Coach John Belskis has been inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Coach Belskis was honored on April 10th at the Hall of Fame banquet, held at the University of Illinois in conjunction with the association's spring clinic. Joining Coach Belskis in the Hall of Fame is his long time assistant, Terry Kent. Coach Kent is a retired South High mathematics teacher who has remained active in the football program. Coach Belskis has guided the Mustang football program for the last 21 years and compiled 179 victories over that span including a state championship in 2001.
